CAPTIVATING ON-SCREEN DRAMA

The opening scene is a key insight into the feel and tone of the film. A HOTEL WINDOW FLANKED BY the alleyway:
Sam is sitting on edge of bed, with a figure of a woman sleeping
sprawled out naked in the bed, barely covered by a bed sheet……….

SAM IS SMOKING A CIGARETTE AND THE SMOKE IS SWIRLING IN THE AIR……

THE CAMERA FOCUSES ON THE SMOKE,ITS MOVEMENT AND THE TEXTURE, meshed WITH THE SEDUCTIVE MUSIC OF THE BEE GEES……..

THE LIGHTING IS A RICH BLUE HUE – VERY DISTINCTIVE…

CAMERA PANS ROOM AND ADJACENT ALLEYWAY COURTING THE ROOMING HOUSE, A(SEEDY AREA) AND OPPOSITE NEIGHBOURHOOD BAR….
